A Great Taste Award winner, this chocolate is made entirely (bean-to-bar) in Madagascar with freshly harvested fine flavour cocoa.
Flakes of salted almond and crunchy coconut have been sprinkled liberally over 65% dark chocolate to create a sumptuously sweet and savoury contrast in every mouthful.
Unlike Ghana, Madagascan cocoa prices are not controlled by a state institution and are therefore not fixed. However, as Madagascar is one of the few countries with 100% fine flavour classification from the International Cocoa Organisation in London, the farm gate price is about 3 times the West African Fairtrade price.
