For anyone who likes their snacks with a kick. These are Om al-Fahem almonds from Palestinian growers, slow-roasted until rich and toasty, then tumbled in a fiery chilli seasoning. The heat builds as you eat, and the big, crunchy almond underneath keeps it from ever tasting thin.
How to enjoy them
- With a cold beer or a glass of wine, in place of crisps
- Roughly chopped over a noodle salad, roasted squash or a bowl of hummus
- On a cheese board next to something creamy, to cool the heat
