Update on Zaytoun Fairtrade Organic Olive Oil Supply

We received this, in August 2025, from our friends at Zaytoun:

As we wait for the next supply of certified olive oil to arrive - which we don't anticipate will be before January 2026 - we are pleased to say we have a good supply of the same extra virgin olive oil (non-certified) in 250ml, 500ml, 750ml and 5L. 1 litre is also back this month.

We apologise for this current disruption to the supply of our organic certified olive oil. This was caused by the previous certifying body withdrawing from Palestine due to security concerns, without a proper handover to a new certifier.

As a result, a lengthy induction process has been required. This situation has placed considerable strain on the small-scale farmer members of the Palestine Fair Trade Association (PFTA) who supply us. Despite growing olives to the same high standards, this has meant they have faced significant losses of sales at an already extremely challenging time. We are very grateful for your patience and understanding, and your continuing support for producers and their communities who need the continuity of trade.

We look forward to resuming our regular supply of organic olive oil to you soon.
