A Great Taste Award winner, this chocolate is made entirely (bean-to-bar) in Madagascar with freshly harvested fine flavour cocoa.
The intensity of Madagascan 65% dark chocolate is cut with both a citrussy zing of infused orange throughout, and chewy, candied orange pieces jewelled across its back.
Unlike Ghana, Madagascan cocoa prices are not controlled by a state institution and are therefore not fixed. However, as Madagascar is one of the few countries with 100% fine flavour classification from the International Cocoa Organisation in London, the farm gate price is about 3 times the West African Fairtrade price.
