What is "Fairmade"
"Fairmade" is the term we use to describe food products that are manufactured and packaged entirely in their source country.
We draw attention to this because it means that, instead of just the price of the ingredients benefitting producers in the Global South, the profit margins on production, processing, printing and packaging also stay in the source country, thus benefitting far more people.
The Ethical Credentials section on our product pages will show "Fairmade" as well as our other designations - "Fairtrade", "Fairly Traded" and "Ethically Traded".
