Whipped (Dalgona) Coffee Recipe
Whipped Coffee (Dalgona Coffee), is a deliciously creamy treat and a wonderful way to enjoy your morning coffee. It can be enjoyed hot or cold, and it’s so easy to make there is no reason not to give it a try!
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Cafédirect Fairtrade Freeze Dried Instant Machu Picchu Coffee
- 2 tbsp Traidcraft Fairtrade Golden Caster Sugar - We Are Fair Trade Ltd
- 3 tbsp boiling water
- 400-500ml Milk (we used whole milk, but a dairy-free alternative would work just as well)
Method
- Using an electric whisk, whisk the coffee, sugar and water together in a bowl until it is thick and fluffy with stiff peaks.
- Divide the milk between two glasses. To enjoy hot, gently heat the milk and pour into two heatproof glasses.
- Spoon the whipped coffee mixture evenly into the glasses, on top of the milk.
- Serve and stir thoroughly before drinking.
Recipe tips
Once you have whipped up the coffee mix, give it a quick taste, if it’s not sweet enough for you add more sugar.
This recipe will work with decaffeinated coffee, just make sure to use freeze-dried.
